ZOPYX has a long and outstanding experience in the migration of complex software systems. Over the last years we have made a lot of experiences with the migration of Plone installations. The standard Plone migration is known to fail with more or less heavy customized site or special extensions and limited to the standard Plone content-types.
We have developped an extensive migration suite that helps us to migrate almost any Plone instance to the latest Plone version. The focus of our migration suite is to migrate the contents, metadata and permissions. It does not care about further configuration since a major Plone migration often involves major changes to the site. This approach is often sufficient for our customers. Using this approach we were able to migrate ten Plone site (various Plone 2.X versions) to Plone 3 within some days!
