Adieu plone-users list
Effective today I will immediately stop giving any further support on the plone-users mailing list.
The plone-users list became more and more a blinds-among-one-eyed ghetto.
A lot of people expect receiving professional support with showing motivation providing reasonable information that is necessary for solving their problem.
When persons calling themselves Plone solution provider and are notoriously unmotivated doing basic home work like providing tracebacks and accurate error constraints then this I wonder what the term Plone solutions provider stands for? Poor customers...
We are talking here about experienced and long-time Plone users - we are not talking about n00bs. But apparently "love and piece" and "idiots are allowed to do everything and forever" is more important than a certain level of professionalism. Another example: our friends from a country in Asia that are asking for days and weeks always the same things. Different people are giving the same perfect answers, explaining everything over and over again in depth but without any further success, people that are constantly ignoring pointers to existing perfect documentation and asking the same thing the next day and the next over and over again....such a level of stupidity in combination with arrogance and ignorance can only be support to a certain degree but at some point it becomes unacceptable. Especially some cases of the last weeks are clear case of misuse of community resources by people that are unwilling and unmotivated doing their job (especially most of them are in my opinion miles away from fulfilling their work).
People accusing me to chase away newcomers should ask themselves first what they have provided in terms of support.
Perhaps I am the professional idiot that has not left the n00b support earlier as many other professional did....now I follow them.
Anyway...I will enjoy some more free time from now on....sometimes it is necessary making a radical cut.
Find me on other Plone mailing lists for further professional support.
Andreas
